Q: How do we recognize the Holy Spirit in our own lives?
A: We recognize the presence of the Holy Spirit when we confess Jesus Christ as Lord and are brought into love and harmony with God, with ourselves, with our neighbors, and all creation.
Nuno's comments: Paul talks about the Spirit coming in power, revealing gifts, callings, wisdom, and truth. Tradition speaks of the seven-fold spirit. My childhood church, some would even teach you weren’t really saved unless the Spirit descended, which was made evident through speaking in tongues, specifically. In my experience you can move a mountain with a shovel, but God healing our broken places, our broken relationships, is a far bigger miracle than any show you can put on.
